Holiday Scheme Programme

Gateway Northeast’s holiday schemes are aimed at children and young people aged reception to 25 years old who have a disability or barrier to learning, this includes young carers. Although our activities are disabled focused, they are not exclusive, and everyone is welcome.

We aim to provide age appropriate activities for children and young people with onsite and offsite activities that are FUN, EXCITING, CHALLENGING and ACCREDITED!!!

Gateway Northeast is open every school holiday Monday to Friday except national bank holidays. we run sessions from 10:00am until 3:00pm each day.

Pick Ups are at:

  • Easington Lane – Gateway Northeast Centre
  • Sacriston – Fulforth Centre
  • Peterlee – McDonald’s Car Park

Please note that activities may be changed on the day due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. Weather.

(There is also the option of a onsite program for Tuesday 23rd at Durham Dales and Thursday 25th at East Durham if wanted)

How to Book….

If your child has previously attended one of our holiday schemes within the past 12 months, please send a list of days and activities that you’d like to book your child in for to: bookings@gatewaynortheast.org.uk

If you are NEW to Gateway Northeast or have not attended our schemes within the past 12 months then please contact the office or email ashlea@gatewaynortheast.org.uk who will arrange a home visit to complete the annual consent forms and gather any further information that is required.

FINALLY, at Gateway Northeast we operate a zero-tolerance approach. Any instances of verbal abuse, threats of violence or aggressive behaviour towards any of our staff may result in your child no longer being able to access our scheme. we are there to support both you and your child and we aim to develop and maintain good relations with each of the families we work with, therefore to achieve this we can ask you please respect the work that our staff do. Thank You.
